Diving
The diving sites are spectacular. Northland Dive takes trips to
locations within the Bay of Islands such as
Hole in the Rock, Danger Rock, Canterbury Wreck and occasionally, the Poor Knights Islands.
In addition, we dive a number of lesser-known but equally
stunning sites discovered and yet-to-be discovered.
The types of dive terrain you will encounter are: swim-throughs, caves, canyons, walls, boulders, off-shore pinnacles and New Zealand's newest wreck dive. Learn more >
Because of Northland Dive's proximity to 2 coastlines, it is very rare that
a dive trip is cancelled due to weather. North-East to South-East winds create perfect diving conditions for the Bay of Islands. Eastern side of Cape Brett favours North-West to Southerly winds. Visibility range varies in Jan-August from 15m to 30m+. Visibility can be reduced by algae blooms during Spring. Contact Shane for an accurate report.
